Theodore's Nursery

1 more day!?
Wow, 1 more day until we get to hold our little Theo in our arms!
It's kind of unbelievable, somedays it just feels to good to be true, especially after our journey with Noah, that we'll actually be bringing home our baby this time.

But Praise God we are and we've been getting everything ready for him!

Theo's nursery has been a long work in progress, as soon as we had the anatomy scan and found out everything was ok we started working on it. Tim works 6 days a week so he didn't have the time to work on it, but thank God I have awesome handy parents who can bring my vision to life =)
But honestly the nursery turned out so much better then I had envisioned! Hopefully Theo loves it as much as we do!!! It was definitely an emotional experience; to create a nursery and prepare to bring home our baby wasn't something we had the chance to do with Noah which made everything that much more bittersweet.
As Tim says, It's a journey where Joy and Grief hold hands!

This Tuesday afternoon at 12:30pm we're scheduled for a cesarian.
I'm not stoked about having another c-section but we're so incredibly excited to meet our second son. I'm not going to lie; this pregnancy has felt like forever, and at moments I thought we might never get here. But in less then 36 hours our rainbow baby will be here! So prayers on Tuesday for a healthy c-section and a healthy baby would be greatly appreciated =)

So without further ado, I present...

Theodore's Nursery

First, here's a few before...

And After...

The paint on the walls is Pelican Grey by Valspar
The crown moulding and base boards are Ceiling White, also by Valspar

The crib was a gift from a friend, I believe it's from Target.

It took me FOREVER to decide on what to put above his crib! The theme for his room is elephants, so I was thinking of putting a black and white elephant painting above his crib but I just couldn't find one that seemed to fit. My mom and I stumbled across these hanging dragonflies by Boon Inc. at Marshalls. They only had one pair of white and aqua but I found another pair on amazon.
They're so neat and simple and the wings also glow in the dark; also if we find a black and white image later that we like it will still work in the background.

These are the shelves on the wall his crib is on.
We wanted his room to not just be filled with "stuff" but to have a story so most of the things around his room we already had.
The Dr. Suess book was a gift to Tim when he graduated from ORU
and the little Ducky was Noah's!

The "Squirt" turtle was a gift from Tim when we were dating!
The little blue cross with Noah's Ark was a gift from Tim's Mommo
And the little french bear was a gift from my grandmother to Noah

The God's Word Bible here is Noah's!
It was a gift from my great Aunt and Uncle and it has his name engraved in it!

The Glider and Ottoman were a gift from my parents and Nana and Boppa! (from Babies R Us)
It's soooooo comfortable, I can't wait to rock him to sleep and read bedtime stories in it =)

This little mirror I found at Home Depot for about $19

The dresser you can see in the Before pictures. It was a part of Tim and My bedroom set but we weren't using it, so my dad refurbished it for us. I LOVE it now, it's like a completely different piece and saves us needing a changing table!
The little elephant images I purchased from Trafalgar's Square on Etsy
They're so precious. Some of them are a baby Elephant and Bunny playing, for some reason they make me think of Noah and Theo, and how it should have been.

Pardon my hot mess reflection lol
These letters I got at Michael's and just painted them a pearly blue.
The shadow box below we're going to fill with some things from the hospital, and other little items.
Right now it's empty except for Tim's very first baseball glove from when he was a little bambino =)

And of course here's a few of Anni =)
She has completely claimed Theo's room, whenever the door is open she's laying on the carpet in front of the crib. It will be interesting to see what she does once Theo's here!

Tomorrow I'll post the pictures of Theo's Closet!
My Dad spent the weekend building a custom closet for him... to say I'm jealous of his closet would be an EXTREME understatement lol
